My wife Ting Abbey and I are the the owners of Abbey Advantage, LLC. We are both graduates of Oklahoma State University class of 1999 and we purchased our first property on May 1st 2000. Shortly after purchasing our first property in Stillwater, OK, we both received irresistible employment offers in Tulsa, OK and decided to move. It was at that time we decided to keep our home and get into the rental property business. We still own that property at 1610 S. Hartford Street to this day. A few years later in 2004 we decided to move to Houston to be closer to family and we have purchased dozens of single family homes in both Oklahoma and Texas since then.

From the year 2000 through 2016 I built a very successful financial services business while Ting Ting furthered her career in computer sciences and we built our portfolio of single family, multi family, agricultural, and commercial properties together. During this time business was good on all fronts but with each passing year it became more and more evident that my passion in life was for the real estate business. In 2016 I finally decided to put my financial services practice on the back burner as I struck out to share the real estate knowledge and experience I had acquired over the previous fifteen years. In looking at the real estate business I chose the home inspection path as I find the structural and mechanical aspects of real estate to be fascinating and I learned early on how valuable it can be to have another set of trained eyes looking at a property before purchase. Early in my real estate career I had a very good inspector named Gary Higgins really save my bacon on a couple of properties by pointing out flaws that I had missed. I appreciated the valuable and professional service that Gary offered before he retired and I strive to provide that same level of value to my clients now.

While I had substantial experience in dealing with the many issues that can and do occur with real estate, I chose to enhance my skills by attending AHIT training. American Home Inspectors Training is a leader in the home inspection training industry nationwide and I knew I wanted to be formally trained by the best. I attended AHIT training in late 2016 and became licensed by the state of Texas as a Professional Home Inspector, the highest level of inspector in Texas, in early 2017.
